On Industrial Street in Waterville, Lodge #905 has been doing the quiet, steady work of community building for over a century. Members gather here not for ceremony alone, but to actually show up: organizing Christmas fairs that draw crowds of ticket-hopeful neighbors, hosting memorial services that honor the sacrifice of men like the Four Chaplains who gave away their life jackets in the icy North Atlantic, and opening their pavilion for celebrations of life that bring families together when it matters most.

The lodge earned its 4.6-star rating from nearly 200 reviewers because the people inside it care. The Christmas fair alone draws first-timers who leave genuinely amazed at the scale and warmth of the event. That kind of reputation is built one handshake, one fundraiser, and one well-run evening at a time.

Elks Lodge #905 is a place where Central Maine residents find something increasingly rare: a room full of people who show up for each other. New members are always welcome, and the lodge's calendar stays full year-round with events that serve both members and the broader Waterville community.

What We Offer

The lodge hosts a rotating calendar of community events that range from holiday fairs and memorial observances to private celebrations and banquet gatherings. The pavilion is available for member-sponsored events, making it a practical venue for life's big moments, from milestone birthdays to celebrations of life.

Charitable giving sits at the center of everything Lodge #905 does. Through the national Elks organization and local initiatives, members direct time and money toward veterans' causes, youth programs, and neighbors in need across the Waterville area. Membership itself opens the door to a network of fellow Elks across Maine and the entire country, along with access to lodge facilities, member events, and a genuine sense of belonging.

For those interested in joining, the lodge welcomes inquiries from American citizens who believe in God and want to make a tangible difference in their community. Reach out through the lodge's Facebook page to learn about upcoming events or the membership process.

"No parking for people that use the pavilion for events. Went to a celebration of life there on September 7 it was raining and people had to go park up on the hill. These were mostly older people who had a hard time getting around. You have your members parking that people cannot park in but when you rent it to a party you should ask your members to park on the hill. Was very disappointed!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
